The Israeli apartheid system has had a devastating effect on Palestinian livelihood including the economy. Electronic Intifada’s Business and Economy section has numerous articles on how the blockade of Gaza and the system of roadblocks and closures – including the apartheid wall – in the West Bank cripple the economic lives of Palestinians living there.
As part of our campaign, we are asking people to not support the Israeli economy that profits from the system of apartheid AND we are asking people to help support the Palestinian economy – particularly the fair trade economy – as we can.
